Black nylon chin strap with steel "D" rings is cushioned on the sides to minimize chafing. Black rubber base and window trim add to the overall good looks. Meet or exceed DOT specification. OUTER SHELL. Made of injection-molded thermoplastic that has been specially modified for toughness and to absorb impacts and resist penetration. One-piece design features an integral padded and lined chin bar for even greater strength plus a large window for unobstructed peripheral vision. INTERIOR. Designed for comfort and fit! Contoured-to-fit one-piece polystyrene foam inner shell helps absorb residual shocks. Comfort-contoured breathable foam padding is bonded to a deluxe dual-tone dual-function liner. Perforated black microfiber nylon lines the bottom, the ear cavities and the crown (front to back) to increase air circulation. The remainder of the interior features plush brushed blue-gray nylon and has sewn-in sizing darts throughout to ensure a super fit and hours of relaxed riding. Seat-resistant lining helps prevent that clammy feeling on hotter days. THREE VENTS. Fingertip-adjustable forehead and chin-bar vents allow all-around ventilation and airflow to accelerate perspiration evaporation and to keep you comfortable at all times. Molded-in air scoops and exhaust vents at rear keep air flowing inside the helmet. Chin bar and forehead vents are black. PROTECTED PAINTED FINISH. Outer shell is sanded smooth and then painted with premium paint. Ultra-fine flakes are used for the metallic colors to achieve the deep luster. Tough clear polyurethane hard coating protects painted finish against scratches and allows easy soap and water cleanups. MULTIPOSITION FACE SHIELD. Flip-up ratcheting shield is made of clear optical-quality, injection-molded Lexan½ and is treated to resist scratches. Center tab allows one-finger adjustments. Multiposition ratchet assembly is concealed under screw-on plastic side pods that are painted to match helmet. Replacement clear and smoke-tinted face shields and replacement colored side pods with hardware also available separately.
